Embark on your dream holiday worry-free with our carefully crafted FAQ section, tailored to ensure your stay at The Manse Gullane exceeds all expectations. Can’t find what you need? Feel free to reach out, and we’ll gladly assist with any questions you may have.



Your check-in time is 4pm.
We can sometimes arrange an early check-in, so please contact us if you plan to arrive early and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If you are arriving early, have a look at the “local area guide” section where we’ve listed lots of things you can do around the area while you’re waiting to check in.

Check-out time is 10am. If you require a later check-out, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.

Check-out Process:
Before your departure, we’d appreciate if you would take care of the following:

  • Leave the beds unmade. No need to strip them.
  • Place used towels in the shower.
  • Load the dishwasher and start it.
  • Move all furniture and items back to original locations.
  • Check all doors and windows to be sure that they are locked.
  • Return your key to the key box and lock by scrambling the digits.

Yes. The Manse has a driveway with space for 3 vehicles. There is unrestricted parking on the street.

The property also has a dedicated electric vehicle charging (EVC) point attached to the side of the building by the driveway. The charging point is for the use of the booking party only.




You are allowed up to 2 dogs to stay. Unfortunately no other pets are allowed. Please let us know at the time of booking.




Yes. We are happy to cater to all ages and welcome families to our home. You’ll find child-friendly bunk bed rooms available and take a look at our Things to do page for plenty of activities to keep them entertained during your stay. If you need any special requirements before you arrive please get in touch and we can discuss an arrangement.




Yes, there is free Wi-Fi in the property.

We provide this service for your enjoyment and convenience. However, please note that you are responsible for its safe and appropriate use and compliance with all laws. If there is any loss of service please contact us.



The ground floor is reserved for living spaces such as the dining room, kitchen and lounge while the upper floors are where you will find the three king sized bedrooms, a queen sized bedroom and a bunk room that sleep up to four additional people.

The Manse is fully equipped so you can feel at home. 

Amenities include: Controllable central heating, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, TV, sound system, golf lockers, EV charger, BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining and loungers.




Yes, The Manse is entirely self-catered and our cleaners visit before and after guests come to stay. You can still find all the basics stocked up in the cupboards including teas and coffees. Towels are provided and lovely bathroom products from our local supplier, Laura Thomas Co including shampoo and conditioner.

If you require additional cleaning throughout your stay, please let us know your requirements.

Additionally you’ll find Edinburgh City Centre is within 30 minutes drive from The Manse, and a direct bus route will take you into the city.


 



Rates offered are non refundable. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival.

A pre-authorisation on a credit card will be taken for your stay to allow for any damages. This will be released 3 working days after check out.




There is a minimum stay of 3 nights.

We offer towel refreshments, mid stay cleans and bed changes at an additional charge. If you require additional cleaning throughout your stay, please let us know your requirements. 




The entire first floor is accessible for wheelchair users, however we don’t currently have lift access to the upper floors.




We have a washing machine and separate dryer (both integrated) located in the utility room on the ground floor. There is a supply of detergent that you’re welcome to use as you wish. To operate the machines, simply select the program you want, place the detergent in the tray, close the door, and hit start.




This is a smoke-free home, including the outside area surrounding property. No smoking of any substance, including vaping.

We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately – if it’s minor we usually won’t charge. If it’s a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to agree the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. Thank you!


 



Quiet time: We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it’s home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10pm and 8am noise should be kept to a minimum.


 



We’ll provide you with a code for the key safe located on site before your arrival by email. This will allow you to check yourself into the property.
